I booked one of the shepherds huts for myself, my friend & her grandson. I also brought my cat Josie.Breck Farm has a special place in my heart, as Richard & Maureen were friends of my parents & my mum worked there when I was a child. I spent many school summer holidays playing with Richard & Maureen’s children & children staying at the farm back in the 80s.Although the layout has changed a fair bit since then, the vibe hasn’t & it felt like going home. The shepherd hut was clean & comfortable. Though we were missing a sheet for the sofa bed. But my friend & her grandson used sleeping bags so it wasn’t a problem. The toilet block was functional, but did feel a bit grimy. It could do with a good deep clean. I’m disabled & was pleased to find disabled facilities, but I did find the stool in the shower a bit off putting as it’s not a proper shower stool & I didn’t want to sit on it, as it didn’t look particularly clean. The shop is well stocked with essentials & treats. My friend’s grandson loved the play area! He met quite a few new friends. And the site still feels as safe as it did when I was a child. My friend was a little nervous about letting him go off on his own to the play area, but once she realised he was within shouting distance, she relaxed & let him run off to enjoy himself. The site was quite full, but still very quiet & peaceful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we rebooked again for April 2026, but we opted for the Calf House next time to avoid the long trip to the bathroom. We can’t wait to return. Hopefully we’ll be back many times in the future.- Claire S
We have been coming to Breck Farm with family and friends for 15 yearsand have never been disappointed. Such a relaxed laid back vibe. We have always found staff over the years welcoming. Our children loved it from little tots through to teens and we hope they will bring their families too one day.- EmmaC
